Costume Therapy
Costume therapy is a creative, experiential offering developed by Dr. Berasi. Inspired by the structure of ketamine-assisted therapy, it uses a different kind of catalyst: costume. Through costume—as a tool for transformation, embodiment, and imaginative exploration—clients can access new facets of self. Whether playful, symbolic, theatrical, or deeply personal, dressing in costume can open unexpected doors into identity, emotion, and self-expression.
This modality invites you to step into parts of yourself that may be hidden, repressed, or unexplored—allowing for a fresh perspective on long-held patterns, roles, or inner conflicts. Costume therapy is especially powerful for those interested in creativity, performance, healing through play, and mind-body integration. It can support work around identity exploration, empowerment, trauma healing, and breaking out of stuckness.
Sessions may take place in the office or, when therapeutically appropriate, out in the world—bringing the internal work of therapy into real-life environments. Whether you’re curious about expressing something new, embodying a different energy, or simply engaging your imagination in a deeper way, costume therapy offers a safe, supported space to explore.
